WHY ARE TRUCK/VAN MOUNTED MACHINES MORE EFFECTIVE?
Portable Water Extraction Machines are small units powered by an electricity source in the house, similar to those you would hire from the supermarket for “do-it-yourself” carpet cleaning. These units do not have the vacuum necessary nor are capable of heating the water to a temperature that is sufficient enough to effectively clean carpets. Unfortunately, more often than not operators who use these machines leave excess soiled water and chemical residue behind resulting in a more rapid re-soiling of your carpets. There will also be a wicking effect (dirty water that comes to the surface of carpets as they dry).

The most effective way of cleaning carpets is with the use of Truck/Van Mounted Extraction Machines. The Truck Mounted Steamers used by Austech are a much larger machine with a very high water temperature able to kill bacteria and dust mites. Our machines also have a stronger suction capability that is able to pull most of the water back out of the carpets leaving them damp but not wet, allowing them to dry much quicker.

Austech uses a 6 Step method for the restoration of your carpets.

Pre-vacuum – We remove excess dirt and grit
Pre-treatment of Stains – Using the appropriate cleaning solutions all stains are pre-treated before the cleaning process.
Pre-spraying – Using new technologically formulated cleansers/solutions carpets are pre-sprayed. Cleansers are wool safe approved and meet all facets of Australian Standards AS-3733.
Carpet Steam Cleaned – Using the most advanced designed TRUCK mounted units available. No expense has been spared to effectively clean your carpets.
Rinsing – A specialisd carpet rinse is used during the cleaning process helping to neutralize the cleaning solutions, prevent browning and rinsing out residue allowing carpets to stay cleaner and feeling softer.
Carpet Grooming – Special rakes are used to reset the carpet pile and aerate the fibers to decrease drying time.

Carpet Dry Cleaning is extremely effective alternative to steam cleaning if you require carpets to be dry in the least amount of time.

Please follow these simple tips for easy cleaning;

Solid and semi-solid spills should be scraped lightly with a table knife to remove excess
Liquid spills should be blotted up immediately with a towel or absorbent cloth
If spills dry or are forced into the carpet they should be removed easily using normal cleaning procedures. Be sure to rinse thoroughly with water to remove residual cleaning products.
